The need of schooling Roma people as mandatory step toward racial and cultural integration in the European space, is felt acutely in all countries of the continent placed in front of a reality with a rather difficult problem that can seriously disrupt the dynamics of a world whose essential feature is civilization. The issue of education of Roma children is one of the challenges facing social environments - economic and cultural or civic Romania.
It is part of the wider issue, where children in situations of exclusion, outcasted for various reasons, requiring nuanced approach based on more specific parameters: area of residence, ethnic minority group membership, membership of a social group with a minimal economic status, etc.
Roma children is one of the most deprived children and need more support to overcome the situation they are in. Poverty and deprivation Roma families, prejudices persist in the population mentality inertia of Roma parents face the prospects that education gives children, all contribute to the marginalization of Roma children in limiting access to equal opportunities to all children entitled.
At the country level, currently only 20% of Roma children attend kindergarten, to prepare for school, 20 % are not enrolled in any form of education, 30% drop out of school before completing secondary school and about 50% are illiterate or semianalfabeţi . These statistics justify the need for projects and educational programs for school integration of Roma children.
In conclusion, we can say that a large part of the Roma population, so their children suffer from marginalization process and therefore require a sustained intervention strategy that will address both minority and marginalized majority to form a intercultural society, different but equal individuals, connected to the general values of humanity and consistent with a common set of rules, but at the same time, are in a permanent cultural and spiritual exchange.
Schooling of Roma children from the village Glodeni is ensured by attending Secondary School "Adorjáni Károly", located about 1.5 km away from the area in which the community "Serbia" lives. One of the most serious problems encountered is the early school leaving, usually at the age of 10-12 years old children. Providing integrated activities for the target group (children and parents) in a special location, located in the community and accessible to all will contribute significantly to access to formal and non-formal education, reducing school leaving and helping community inclusion.
